Eric Long is a troubadour blending folk, early country into heartfelt songs that resonate with honesty and soul. Described by NPR’s All Songs Considered as having a timeless and introspective voice, his music appeals to fans of John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, and the mellow spirit of Jimmy Buffett.
Born in San Francisco and raised in the Appalachian hills of Pennsylvania, he later returned to California, carrying with him a deep-rooted Americana sound. Now part of Gadan, Eric brings warmth and cohesion to the band’s energy through his clawhammer banjo style and musical sensitivity, bridging Irish traditional music with Appalachian folk in a natural, powerful fusion.
